Role: Hogan / Mainframe SME Engineer
Location: Iselin, NJ & Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Domain: Banking / Financial Services

We are looking for a highly experienced Hogan / Mainframe SME Engineer to support a major legacy modernization and migration initiative to Pismo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reverse-engineer DXC Hogan modules including IDS, CIS, PEP+, ULS, DDA, and rail-specific capabilities.
  • Analyze and document business rules embedded in COBOL applications and convert them into canonical specifications.
  • Develop and support extraction interfaces using VSAM, DB2, and MQ.
  • Implement dual-write mechanisms, rollback procedures, and legacy-side change controls.
  • Serve as the technical SME and source of truth for legacy Hogan behavior during the migration.
  • Support documentation, modernization, and decommissioning of legacy capabilities.
  • Ensure strong production change management and release discipline.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years of DXC Hogan experience.
  • Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.
  • Hands-on experience with Hogan modules and legacy banking systems.
  • Experience supporting legacy modernization / cloud migration initiatives.
  • Strong production support and change-management experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Hogan-to-cloud-core or Hogan-to-Pismo migration experience.
  • ISO 20022 mapping experience.
  • CA Endevor / Changeman experience.
