Job Description

Security Technician | Chicago, IL, United States | On-site

The Role

  • Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve application and system issues, working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identify system faults.
  • Perform routine configuration changes, including user permissions and application settings.
  • Document all system modifications using a digital change control tracking system.
  • Conduct pre-deployment testing for upgrades and major modifications, and perform on-site installations.

What You'll Need

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary, intrusion, and fire alarm systems.
  • Experience with fire alarm systems (Bosch, Silent Knight preferred; Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, Siemens, etc., a plus).
  • Working knowledge of network communications and IP addressing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, time management, and communication skills.
