Job Description

Job#: 3055432
Job Description:
Primary Purpose
Strategic, cross-functional role accountable for connecting product, vendor, and related master data work into a cohesive enterprise plan that enables SAP readiness. This role translates future-state SAP capabilities and cross-workstream needs into clear data, process, governance, integration, and system requirements, ensuring master data solutions are fit for purpose across creation, maintenance, coexistence, and retirement.

The manager serves as a primary conduit across Master Data, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology, and other SAP workstreams to drive timely decisions, resolve dependencies, and establish a trusted data foundation for business operations. Duties and Responsibilities
Connects product, vendor, location, and intersecting data requirements across business processes, systems, integrations, and downstream consumers.

Partner with MDM Strategy and Technology teams to prioritize enhancements to Product MDM, Vendor MDM, SAP, and supporting integrations, balancing SAP requirements with broader enterprise simplification, scalability, and long-term business value. Lead cross-functional alignment with SAP workstreams, including Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising and Sourcing, Architecture, Integration, Reporting, and Organizational Readiness, to identify and translate net-new master data needs into clear, actionable requirements.

Works directly with Product and Vendor MDM teams to drive for clarity on future-state division of responsibility across MDM platforms, SAP, integration layers, including attribute ownership, system of record, point of entry, enrichment, synchronization, and lifecycle controls. Ensure product and vendor master data designs are fit for purpose by connecting business outcomes to process flows, key design decisions, fit-gap assessments, controls, reporting needs, testing criteria, and implementation backlogs.

Drive end-to-end dependency management across Master Data and adjacent workstreams, proactively identifying gaps, conflicting assumptions, sequencing risks, and downstream impacts and facilitating decisions through the appropriate governance forums. Supports readiness for interim and coexistence states, ensuring vendor and item data, identifiers, mappings, integrations, and operating processes maintain business continuity while enabling transition to the SAP target state.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, data management, supply chain, finance, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of progressive experience in master data management, enterprise systems, product or vendor data, business transformation, or process design.
3+ years of people leadership or demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, complex workstreams, and enterprise delivery outcomes.

Experience translating business processes and SAP or ERP design decisions into data requirements, system capabilities, integrations, controls, and operational readiness plans. Strong understanding of master data governance, data quality, system-of-record principles, attribute ownership, data lifecycle management, and integration dependencies. Demonstrated ability to connect requirements across business domains such as Merchandising, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Reporting, and Technology.

Experience with requirements management, fit-gap analysis, process mapping, data mapping, user acceptance testing, and implementation planning. Excellent executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to create clarity from complex and sometimes competing inputs. Strategic and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic transformation environment.

Proven change leadership skills, including stakeholder alignment, operating-model transition, adoption planning, and the ability to drive accountability through ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Partner, product or material master, vendor or supplier master, and purchasing or finance data constructs. Experience with enterprise MDM platforms such as Stibo Systems and with data integration or distribution platforms. Experience supporting a large-scale ERP transformation, blueprint, design, migration, coexistence, or deployment program. Knowledge of retail, grocery, merchandising, procurement, replenishment, or finance master data processes.

Lean/Six Sigma, PROSCI, data governance, product management, or related certification. Master's degree preferred.
