Responsible To: Director of Income Generation
Responsible For: Communications Officer & Business Marketing Support Officer
Contract Term: Permanent contract, working 30 hours per week.
Salary: £36,000 FTE per annum (£29,189.19 pro rata per annum)

About the role:
As our Marketing & Events Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping how people experience and connect with ONSIDE.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, you'll develop and deliver innovative marketing campaigns, fundraising promotions, social media content, digital communications and community events that strengthen our brand and showcase the life-changing work we do.
No two days are the same. One day you might be launching a new campaign, creating engaging digital content or analysing marketing performance. The next, you'll be coordinating an exciting fundraising event, building community partnerships or supporting colleagues to share inspiring stories from across our services.
Key responsibilities:
• Support the development and delivery of the charity's annual marketing and communications strategy.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver marketing and communication activities across the organisation.
• Maintain a consistent, professional and recognisable brand identity.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities and audience needs.
• Produce high-quality marketing and promotional materials.
• Develop and deliver marketing campaigns to support fundraising appeals, regular giving programmes and income-generation activities.
• Create engaging promotional content and social media campaigns for fundraising events and initiatives.
• Support community fundraising activities and donor communications.
• Coordinate and promote fundraising events and awareness campaigns.
• Increase event engagement through digital and traditional marketing channels.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters, partners and stakeholders.
• Manage and develop the organisation's website, ensuring content remains current, accessible and engaging.
• Develop and implement an effective social media strategy to increase awareness and engagement.
• Create and deliver digital campaigns across website, email and social media channels, including newsletters, videos and case studies.
• Monitor and evaluate digital performance using analytics, KPIs and insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Stay informed of emerging digital marketing trends, tools and best practice.

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational marketing and communications professional with a track record of growing market presence and developing successful fundraising strategies. You should be passionate about creating opportunities that enable ONSIDE to support more people and have a greater impact within our communities.
Essential
Qualifications and knowledge
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Marketing and communications strategies
• Knowledge of effective project planning and time management techniques.
• Understanding of design programmes and tools, communications and social media strategies.
• Knowledge of current social media trends and approaches to increase engagement and profile.
• Understanding of the voluntary and community sector and the environment in which it operates.
Experience
• Experience of developing and delivering marketing and communications activities.
• Experience of creating engaging content across digital, social media and traditional communication channels.
• Experience of website management and content development.
• Experience of planning, coordinating and delivering campaigns and projects to agreed objectives and timescales.
• Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, partners and supporters.
• Experience of monitoring performance and using data and insights to inform decision-making.
Skills and approach
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor information to a wide range of audiences.
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to generate innovative ideas, develop creative solutions and identify new ways of working.
• Experience of planning and managing fundraising, organisational and promotional events.
• Experience of website design and ongoing management.
• Ability to motivate, engage and influence colleagues and stakeholders.
• Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to deliver objectives, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to self-motivate, work independently and anticipate priorities.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across teams.
Desirable
• Relevant supervisory or line management qualification.
• Marketing or related professional qualification.
• Experience and/or understanding of the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Experience and/or understanding of healthcare and/or social care.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to independently obtain this by the start date. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
