Job Title: Senior Backend Software Engineer ( Strong AI ) 

Location : Phoenix , AZ - Hybrid 

Experience:

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices
• Expertise in Distributed Systems, REST APIs, and scalable backend application development
• Strong experience with Kafka/Kafka Streams and Event-Driven Architecture
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MongoDB, Docker, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, and CI/CD
• Solid understanding of High Availability, Fault Tolerance, Performance Optimization, Caching, and Multi-threading
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and high-volume backend services
• Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers and contribute to architecture and design discussions

Preferred Skills:

• Digital Banking, Payments, FinTech, or Financial Services domain experience
• AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS)
• Python, Hadoop, or Spark
• Exposure to GenAI, LLMs, RAG, Prompt Engineering, or Vector Databases (Nice to Have)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services and microservices
• Build REST APIs and event-driven applications using Kafka
• Design highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Participate in architecture, code reviews, CI/CD, and production support
• Mentor team members and drive engineering best practices
