Backend Java Engineer

12+ Years of Experience 

Must have financial domain experience

• Java programming skills:
• Core Java concepts: Data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
• Experience developing Java-based applications.
• Experience with Java frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, and Struts is also desirable.
• Knowledge of Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

 
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain microservices-based architectures
• Develop and optimize data access using SingleStore (MemSQL)
• Design and document RESTful APIs using Swagger / OpenAPI
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and JWT
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Create and execute unit tests using JUnit5 and Mockito
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend and performance issues
• Work in a Linux-based development and deployment environment
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and product teams
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

 
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Microservices architecture
• Proficiency in SingleStore (MemSQL) or similar distributed databases
• Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation
• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and application security
• Experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit testing
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment
• Good understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
