SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Location :Desperes MO 

Onsite 4 days a week 

 

Primary Responsibilities:
               This individual will support revenue accounting activities, including:

•             Revenue and subsidiary accounting

•             Trade revenue accounting

•             Captive lending revenue accounting

•             Accounting for smaller revenue streams

•             Cash receipt processing and recording

•             Journal entry preparation and posting

•             Account reconciliations

•             Variance analysis and reporting

•             Daily, weekly, and month-end accounting activities

•             Researching and explaining variances

•             Consolidating information from multiple sources to understand revenue impacts

•             Supporting process improvement initiatives to streamline and strengthen accounting cycles

Technical Skill Requirements:

Accounting Knowledge

Candidates must possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, including:

•             Debits and credits

•             Revenue recognition concepts

•             Month-end close processes

•             General accounting practices

•             Reconciliation procedures
 

Financial Analysis

Candidates should demonstrate:

•             Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

•             Ability to investigate variances and identify root causes

•             Experience analyzing source data and financial reports

•             Ability to connect business events, market conditions, and operational changes to financial results.

 Examples include understanding:

Changes in business activity driving revenue fluctuations

o             Market-driven impacts

or Interest rate or pricing changes affecting revenue streams

 

Technology Skills

•             Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas

•             Ability to work with pre-built Power Query and SQL queries (will not be responsible for creating data models or SQL queries)
