System Administrator with Security Clearance

Position: Systems Administrator
Location: Fort Meade
Work schedule: 100% onsite
Work Shift: Mon – Fri, 1100-1900hr
Clearance: TS/SCI Primary Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade Windows Server environment within a completely isolated architecture.
Develop and execute strict, secure processes for manually introducing software updates, patches, and vulnerability definitions (e.g., WSUS, repository mirroring) using approved physical media or cross-domain solutions.
Manage on-premises virtualization clusters (e.g., VMware vSphere) and high-availability storage arrays (SAN/NAS).
Implement and enforce strict configuration baselines based on DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, or NIST guidelines.
Manage air-gapped SIEM solutions (e.g., SolarWinds) to monitor logs, detect anomalies, and respond to potential insider threats or hardware failures.
Oversee air-gapped Active Directory domains, local LDAP directories, ensuring strict adherence to the principle of least privilege.
Design, test, and maintain immutable, offline backup routines to protect against data corruption or hardware failure.
Handle bare-metal server provisioning, physical hardware diagnostics, and secure destruction of compromised or end-of-life storage media according to classified destruction standards. Basic Qualifications:
Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in Systems Administration, with at least 2+ years explicitly working in an air-gapped, SCIF, or highly classified environment.
Operating Systems: Advanced proficiency in Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) and enterprise Linux distributions.
Automation/Scripting: Ability to write automation scripts (PowerShell, or Ansible) to compensate for the lack of internet-based configuration tools.
Air-Gap Workflows: Proven experience managing software dependencies, package repositories (e.g., local Yum/Apt mirrors), and data transfer protocols without external web access
Preferred Qualifications:
Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired. Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.
Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow
ITIL v3 Foundation certified Compensation: $45-52/HR. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
