About the Role
This is a pivotal commercial role at a seed-stage life sciences ingredient company, sitting at the intersection of science and sales. You will bridge the R&D team and buyers at leading supplement brands and contract manufacturers, turning warm leads into long-term partnerships and driving growth during an exciting early commercial phase.
What You'll Do
Own the full sales cycle for B2B ingredient customers, from first contact through to signed partnership agreements.
Act as the technical point of contact for prospective customers, translating complex science into compelling commercial value propositions.
Build and nurture relationships with purchasing and formulation teams at supplement brands, contract manufacturers, and distributors.
Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings, with regular travel expected.
Manage and progress leads through a CRM, maintaining accurate pipeline visibility.
Collaborate closely with the lab and product team to align customer needs with ingredient capabilities and development priorities.
What We're Looking For
A completed degree in a relevant scientific or technical field, such as food technology, nutritional science, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry, or a business degree with a life sciences focus.
2 to 4 years of B2B sales, key account management, or business development experience in the ingredients, nutraceuticals, supplements, or pharmaceutical industry.
Proven ability to sell technical or science-based products consultatively.
An established network within the nutraceutical or ingredient industry, including familiarity with key events, distributors, and prospective customers.
Fluency in English; German language skills are a strong plus.
Comfort working in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.
Experience with CRM tools and structured pipeline management.
Familiarity with cyclodextrin-based formulation or similar drug-delivery technologies is advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: EUR 60,000 to EUR 80,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
