The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling. • Position containers and chassis using hostlers for efficient yard management. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to maintain safety standards. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Open availability, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening.
