Pricing Actuary - Syndicate

A leading specialty insurer is seeking a Pricing Actuary to join its growing actuarial team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with underwriters across a diverse portfolio, delivering pricing insight that supports commercial decision-making and portfolio performance.

The role will involve account pricing, portfolio analysis, model development and rate monitoring, while partnering with underwriting teams to provide data-driven recommendations. You will have the opportunity to influence pricing strategy, enhance analytical tools and contribute to the ongoing development of pricing capabilities across the business.

The ideal candidate will have general insurance pricing experience, strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Experience with Excel, VBA, and statistical programming tools such as R or Python is desirable, alongside exposure to SQL and Power BI.

This opportunity would suit a qualified actuary, or someone making strong progress through the actuarial exams, who is looking for broader business exposure and the chance to make a tangible impact within a collaborative, specialist insurance environment.
