Job Description

CAD Designer II | Tucson, AZ, United States | Hybrid

We're hiring for a well-established leader in the aerospace and defense industry, renowned for its precision-engineered components and commitment to innovation. This organization plays a critical role in ensuring the safe operation of vital commercial and military systems.

The Role

  • Complete modeling and drawing tasks for engineering documentation of mechanical and fluid power products.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to fulfill project requirements.
  • Conduct reviews of documentation packages before release.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to define design and manufacturing requirements.
  • Prepare layouts and assembly drawings to verify component arrangements and clearances.
  • Generate manufacturing and tooling designs based on engineer direction.

What You'll Need

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in CAD, or an Associate degree in a related field plus 5 years of experience, or High School diploma/GED plus 7 years of experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a CAD-related position.
  • Demonstrated CAD modeling ability and proficiency in ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through personal projects.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience with Creo and Windchill software is preferred.
