This hybrid, primarily daytime role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career marketing professional to gain broad experience and meaningful responsibility while developing their knowledge of the AEC industry, with occasional evening and weekend availability required for events.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments, deadlines, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, CRM/database systems, project management tools, and modern marketing technology.
  • Experience with photography, Canva, Adobe tools, event platforms, CRM systems, or digital marketing is a plus.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and flexible approach with a willingness to support a variety of marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Interest in developing knowledge of the AEC, professional services, and technology industries.
  • Ability to work from Procon’s McLean, VA office at least three days per week, with flexibility to provide onsite support on short notice as needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work to support conferences, client events, and company activities.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, including event displays, boxes, marketing materials, and shipments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support marketing campaigns, communications, social media, client engagement, and business development initiatives.
  • Coordinate conferences, sponsorships, industry events, internal events, and partnerships, including registration, logistics, materials, travel, shipping, and onsite support.
  • Draft and coordinate social media content, event promotions, company updates, and other marketing communications.
  • Develop and update brochures, presentations, event materials, and other marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate client gifts and company promotional items, including research, ordering, inventory, distribution, and vendor management.
  • Maintain digital marketing assets, including photography, video, graphics, project information, and shared resources.
  • Capture event and team photography and assist with content collection for social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data for Marketing and Business Development, including contacts, companies, campaigns, events, registrations, and outreach activities.
  • Support CRM data cleanup, list management, segmentation, event registration, and reporting.
  • Coordinate vendors, estimates, schedules, invoices, and marketing purchases while assisting with budget and expense tracking.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, and task management systems to ensure deadlines and deliverables stay on track.
  • Provide general support to the Marketing and Business Development team and assist with additional priorities as needed.
