Job Description

Position Description:
The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of professional scheduling experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Primavera P6 and a proven ability to develop, maintain, analyze, and communicate project schedules across multiple workstreams.

Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated environments is a plus but is not required. Candidates with strong scheduling backgrounds in aviation, airports, infrastructure, transportation, industrial construction, advanced manufacturing, energy, utilities, data centers, or other large-scale capital projects are encouraged to apply. This position is particularly well suited for a scheduler who has experience supporting large, complex projects and/or portfolios consisting of multiple small- to mid-sized projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Build detailed schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and other project activities.
  • Integrate schedules from multiple project teams, contractors, vendors, and disciplines into a cohesive master schedule.
  • Develop and maintain baseline schedules, current schedules, forecasts, and recovery schedules.
  • Establish activity logic, relationships, durations, milestones, constraints, and critical paths.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, conflicts, and schedule risks.
  • Perform schedule analysis, including critical path, float, near-critical activities, and schedule variance.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and other stakeholders to obtain accurate schedule updates.
  • Track actual progress against planned progress and identify deviations from the approved baseline.
  • Support development of schedule recovery and mitigation strategies when projects fall behind plans.
  • Forecast project completion dates and identify potential impacts to project objectives.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent projects and priorities within a broader project portfolio.
  • Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for logic, sequencing, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, milestone reports, and other project controls deliverables.
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings and communicate schedule status, risks, and opportunities to project leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and current schedule data in accordance with established project controls processes.
  • Support project teams with schedule development throughout project planning, execution, and closeout.

Qualified candidates would have the following:

  • 5-10+ years of professional project scheduling experience.
  • Hands-on Primavera P6 experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining complex project schedules.
  • Experience coordinating schedules across multiple project disciplines, preferably including engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Strong understanding of project dependencies, sequencing, critical path, milestones, and schedule risk.
  • Experience working with project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and project reporting tools.
  • Ability and willingness to work full-time onsite in Thousand Oaks, CA.
