Job Description

SDN developer with C++ with Networking

Work model - On-premise, No Remote/hybrid.

Location - Rochester, NY (Onsite)

  • Design and develop a C++ configuration service that launches, manages, and configures other services running on the host platform.
  • Implement configuration support for REST and CLI access paths.
  • Integrate gRPC/SNMP/ for service communication and configuration data exchange.
  • Provide support to the core networking team, including debugging, code integration, and testing on embedded/radio hardware.
  • Develop a web UI for device configuration and monitoring.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in C++, including cross-platform development experience.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, ACLs, firewalls).
  • Experience with Linux-based embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with REST API design and/or gRPC service integration.
  • Experience with CLI tool development for system/service configuration.
  • Familiarity with IPv6, automation tools, or network scripting (Python, Ansible).
  • Front-end/web UI development experience for embedded device interfaces.
