The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Maneuver containers using hostlers to position them accurately within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for stacking, moving, and organizing containers.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and performance.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics operations.
• Uphold a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
