Job Description

Data Analyst

Bradford – Hybrid working, c.3 days per week onsite
Up to £40,000

Are you naturally curious, commercially minded and good at turning data into a story people can actually understand and act on?

Elevation Tech & Transformation are working with a consumer business to recruit a Data Analyst into its established Reporting and Analytics team. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply be asked to build dashboards and produce reports. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, helping them understand what their data is telling them, solve problems and make better decisions.

The role

Working across areas including commercial, finance, supply chain and HR, you’ll:

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their challenges and what they need from the data.
  • Turn business questions into meaningful analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Present insights clearly through analysis, presentations, reports and data visualisations.
  • Use data to support better commercial and operational decisions.
  • Work alongside BI and Data Engineering colleagues to ensure stakeholders have access to the right information.
  • Take ownership of projects and proactively investigate what sits behind the numbers.

What we’re looking for

We’re more interested in how you think and communicate than whether you can tick every technical box.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience working with data in an analytical, commercial or business-focused role.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
  • The ability to translate complex information into a clear and compelling story.
  • Natural curiosity, initiative and a genuine desire to understand how a business works.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to challenge or ask further questions.
  • Experience using a data visualisation tool such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • A good grounding in Excel and confidence working with different data sources.

Experience within retail, consumer goods or another commercially focused environment would be useful, but it isn’t essential. We would also welcome applications from commercially minded candidates from finance or reporting backgrounds who are looking to develop their career in data analytics.

Why apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative data team that has already invested in its modern data capability. You’ll work in a varied role where your analysis will directly influence decisions across the business, with plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and take genuine ownership.

If you’re a curious and engaging analyst who enjoys working with people just as much as working with data, we’d love to hear from you.
