Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Evaluation of existing electrical systems, components, and applications through testing and implementation
• Design, build and test electrical components and systems
• Design electrical diagrams, block diagrams, interface control documents
• Design conceptual wiring diagrams, and release detailed wiring diagrams
• Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) segregation routes as a function of the signal type
• Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection implementation
• Wires/cables selection to satisfy signal type, current, voltage, EMC, and EMI aircraft requirements

MUST HAVES:

• BSEE with 8 years of aviation related experience.; MSEE and 5 years of directly related experience.
• AS50881 (Wiring Aerospace Vehicle).
• AC 43.13-1B standards and practices.
• AutoCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical, experience.  SolidWorks highly preferred.
• Experience with first article testing newly designed components.
• Experience creating/modifying code for testing/debugging new systems.
• Proficient with operation of electronic instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes.
• logic analyzers, and spectrum analysis.
• Occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations (Alaska, Hawaii, UK and EUROPE)

Preferred:

• 10 + years of experience in electrical engineering design in both Military and Civil aviation.
• Knowledge and actual Participation in FAA STC Approval process; military Airworthiness process.
• Familiarity with RF principles / Familiar with Harness Related Mil Specs.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and test instrumentation.
