With responsibility for a substantial temporary workforce, you'll need to be organised, commercially aware and confident handling changing priorities.

This is a hands-on leadership position where your ability to bring people together, solve problems and improve performance will make a real difference to the success of the operation.

Key Responsibilities for the Account Manager

  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the client, understanding their operational priorities and responding effectively to changing requirements.
  • Take overall responsibility for recruitment service delivery, ensuring staffing needs are met and agreed service standards are maintained.
  • Oversee the temporary workforce lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to attendance, engagement and ongoing performance.
  • Manage and support the onsite recruitment team, providing direction, setting priorities and helping individuals perform at their best.
  • Coordinate recruitment activity to meet fluctuating labour demands, ensuring suitable candidates are available when and where they are needed.
  • Review workforce data and operational reports to monitor recruitment performance, identify gaps and address emerging issues.
  • Maintain effective oversight of compliance, workforce records and recruitment administration.
  • Monitor key performance measures, including fulfilment levels, workforce turnover and productivity, taking action where improvements are needed.
  • Anticipate potential staffing challenges and put contingency plans in place to minimise disruption to the operation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen service delivery and create a positive experience for both the client and temporary workers.

Requirements for the Account Manager

  • Previous experience in recruitment account management, onsite recruitment or contract management, with responsibility for maintaining client relationships is essential.
  • A strong understanding of temporary workforce recruitment and the challenges of delivering staffing solutions at volume.
  • Experience leading, supervising or supporting a recruitment team within a busy operational environment.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining service standards and meeting workforce demands.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Good analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and use it to inform decisions.
  • Confidence using recruitment systems, CRM platforms, workforce management tools and reporting systems.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions.
  • Experience in manufacturing, food production, logistics or industrial recruitment would be advantageous.

Working Hours

Flexibility is required to support the needs of the operation, with working hours typically falling between 5:30am and 7:00pm. Occasional out-of-hours and weekend support will also be required when necessary.
