Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Technician III to support the assembly, modification, repair, and inspection of aerospace structures and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience performing structural assembly operations, interpreting technical documentation, and installing aerospace fasteners while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and modify structural components and major assemblies using engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Perform fitting operations including filing, sawing, trimming, drilling, reaming, framing, deburring, and riveting.
• Align and position parts using jigs, fixtures, templates, and measurement tools.
• Install and verify aerospace fasteners, including rivets and Hi-Locks.
• Conduct structural repair and refinishing activities, including corrosion removal when applicable.
• Measure and inspect assemblies using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Incorporate engineering changes into existing assemblies and structures.
• Perform quality inspections and support compliance with established quality control procedures.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to all safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in structural assembly, aircraft structures, aerospace manufacturing, or related fields.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, manuals, and work instructions.
• Hands-on experience with structural assembly, part fitting, repairs, and refinishing processes.
• Experience installing aerospace fasteners such as rivets and Hi-Locks.
• Ability to maintain proper edge distance and pitch requirements during installations.
• Must possess and maintain personal tools in good working condition.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, military, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Prior experience supporting aircraft structures, airframe assembly, or related programs.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, and working in various positions.
• Frequent repetitive use of hands, arms, and fingers requiring fine motor skills and dexterity.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Strong visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color differentiation.
• Ability to hear and distinguish various sounds, tones, and volume levels.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, or other industrial materials.
• Frequent exposure to elevated noise levels in manufacturing or production environments.
