Role: OCI Migration / Oracle EBS Infrastructure DBA

Location: Washington, DC (Limited Onsite / Mostly Remote)

Duration: Long Term Contract (3 Years)

Role Overview:

• We are looking for a senior Oracle OCI Infrastructure / DBA professional to support the migration of on-premises Oracle applications and databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle EBS infrastructure, Oracle databases, OCI provisioning and cloud migration, with the ability to assess the existing environment and help define the migration approach and scope.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support migration of on-prem Oracle applications and databases to OCI.
• Provision and configure OCI infrastructure for Oracle workloads.
• Design and support OCI environments including compute, networking, storage and database infrastructure.
• Perform Oracle database installation, configuration, migration and administration.
• Support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) infrastructure and environments.
• Provision and configure Oracle EBS application and database tiers.
• Assess existing on-prem infrastructure and identify OCI migration requirements.
• Support migration planning, architecture discussions and technical discovery sessions.
• Participate in customer discussions to understand the existing environment and define migration scope.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, database and application connectivity issues.
• Support performance, availability, backup and recovery requirements.
• Work with application, infrastructure, security and cloud teams during migration.
• Develop technical documentation and migration/provisioning procedures.

Required Skills:

• Strong Oracle DBA experience.
• Hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.
• Experience migrating on-prem Oracle databases/applications to OCI.
• Strong Oracle EBS / E-Business Suite infrastructure experience.
• Experience provisioning Oracle application environments.
• Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Understanding of OCI networking, compute, storage and security concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and database issues independently.
• Strong customer-facing and technical discovery skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Oracle EBS R12 / R12.2 infrastructure.
• OCI migration projects.
• Oracle Data Guard / RAC.
• RMAN and database backup/recovery.
• OCI Database services.
• Cloud networking and connectivity.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with large enterprise Oracle environments.
