Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer<br />Hampshire, Southampton, Winchester, Romsey<br />£51- 57k per annum<br />Our client, an international engineering organisation with a base near Winchester, is now looking to recruit a Design Engineer (3D) to join the business on a permanent basis.<br />Primary Role Functions:<br />To create/generate/design 3D assemblies from preliminary layout drawings and concepts with the aim to then produce 2D GA and detail drawings for fabrication.<br />Job requirements:<br />• Hold “clean” UK driving license.<br />• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar related degree).<br />• 5+ years related job experience.<br />• Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical design and its application in industrial designs including knowledge / specification of hydraulic systems, motors &amp; mechanical systems.<br />• Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently or in team environment.<br />• Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.<br />• Proactive, resourceful &amp; highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environment.<br />• Travel as required to support projects
