Experienced CNC Machinist/Metal Fabrication
Newburyport MA
Salary Based on Experience ($30-$36 hr.)

• Optimize Machine Uptime and Minimize Tool Wear or Breakage. This would include documenting optimized machine specific parameters.
• Training of employees on CNC Machinery for department growth.
• Responsible for researching new tooling, techniques, fluids, methods of improvement.
• Maintaining Tooling, Fabrication Programs
• Machine Maintenance Machining, CNC Lathe and Mill
• Metal Forming, Press Brake and Rolls
• Any skills and duties specific to the areas above will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
• CNC Machine Programming, Solidworks Cam
• Coordinate each Machine Center within the Automated Metal Prep Area to Maximize Efficiency and Minimize Waste

Develop Machine Operation Standards

• Schedule / Prioritize Work within department
• Interface with engineering team to correct design issues and concerns drawing correctness and manufacturability issues.

Technical Skills & Qualifications
5 years' experience
High School degree or equivalent, OTJ training accepted
Mechanical aptitude
Measure and inspect finished products using standard measuring instruments like calipers and tape measures to ensure they meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to understand technical requirements and project specifications.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email)
Driven self-starter with a positive attitude
Good interpersonal skills
Able to work independently or as a team
Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job
Able to be on your feet, bend, or occasionally climb short ladder for a minimum of 8 hours a day
Able to lift / move 50 lbs.
Able to work minimum of 40 hours and work OT as needed
