Terms of Employment
Contract, 6 Months (Possible Extension / Permanent Conversion)
This position requires residence in Maryland and the ability to work on-site at our client's Baltimore, MD (Canton neighborhood) office 2-3 days per week. Occasional travel to local healthcare provider offices will also be required.

Overview & Responsibilities
Join a dedicated Government Programs quality team at a leading healthcare organization. We are seeking five skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Review Nurses for a 6-month contract. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to perform medical record reviews and data abstraction, playing a vital part in the HEDIS process to improve healthcare quality and outcomes. Perform detailed abstractions of clinical data from member medical records.
Review and extract key information from provider records to support HEDIS quality measures.
For experienced candidates, conduct overreads of abstracted charts to ensure accuracy.
Occasionally travel to local provider offices to collect and manage medical records.

Required Qualifications
Must possess an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
3 years acute clinical experience, previous case management, discharge planning or utilization review experience
A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on clinical experience is required.
Must reside in the state of Maryland.
Demonstrated experience navigating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ambulatory Practice
Remote EMR Access

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with HEDIS chart abstraction and review.
Bachelor s degree in Nursing.
Experience using EPIC or CareSeed software.

Licenses/Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/or Compact State Licensure RN-VA, DC and or MD Upon Hire Req
Or: LPN-Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure And/or Compact State Licensure LPN-VA, DC and or MD Upon Hire Req

Upon business need, candidate must be willing to travel to provider locations to retrieve medical records
