Role: Machine Learning Engineer (Python, Databricks)
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Experience: 7 to 8 years
Duration: Contract (no conversion to FTE)
Interview Process: 3-4 rounds; initial rounds virtual, later rounds in person
Any Visa is fine apart from H1 and USC
About the Role
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to embed within a centralized ML team supporting 7 business units. You will support the Customer Intelligence CBI productionization initiative, taking ownership of moving ML pipelines from prototype to production through code refactoring, system optimization, and close collaboration with data scientists, data engineers, and product partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Productionize ML pipelines, including deployment, orchestration, monitoring, and optimization
  • Refactor and improve existing codebases for performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Write production-grade Python with strong modularization, testing, and performance tuning
  • Debug, optimize, and integrate ML systems with surrounding platforms
  • Perform data extraction, cleaning, and analysis, applying feature engineering to improve model quality
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and product partners to accelerate delivery of scalable ML solutions
  • Communicate technical work clearly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Must-Have Qualifications
  • MS or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong Python expertise (production-grade coding, modularization, testing, performance tuning)
  • Hands-on experience developing and productionizing ML pipelines (deployment, orchestration, monitoring, optimization)
  • Depth of knowledge in statistical and machine learning techniques
  • Practical experience with data extraction, cleaning, and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
  • Databricks / Spark-based ML pipelines
  • Proficiency in SQL and large-scale datasets
  • ML lifecycle tools (MLflow, CI/CD, model monitoring)
  • Cloud platforms and parallel processing for scaling models (Databricks, Azure)
  • Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI)
  • 8+ years in a technical professional environment
  • Airline industry domain knowledge
  • Prior consulting experience
Ideal Candidate
  • Proven track record taking ML models from prototype to production using Python and Databricks
  • Strong code optimization, debugging, and system integration skills
  • Understands the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including deployment and monitoring
  • Comfortable improving existing codebases, not only building new models
  • Clear communicator and effective collaborator

  • Strong verbal and written communication at all levels
