Overview

Policy & Standards Engineer

ð Exciting opportunity to join a newly established Policy & Standards Team within the Design Authority function! You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the engineering governance framework that supports safe, compliant, and effective project delivery across a highly regulated environment.

ð Key Responsibilities

ð Develop and maintain Engineering Management Arrangements

ð Produce and update Engineering Policies, Standards and Guidance

Support the delivery of Technical Assurance Frameworks

ð Contribute to Engineering Substantiation Processes

️ Develop and maintain Design Acceptance Procedures

ð Manage Configuration Control Arrangements

️ Support Change Control Processes

ð¡️ Ensure compliance with Safety Management Arrangements

ð Drive continuous improvement in engineering governance and best practice

ð Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering and assurance functions

ð What You'll Be Doing

• Creating and maintaining engineering policies and standards
• Supporting robust engineering governance and assurance activities
• Developing processes that underpin design authority responsibilities
• Ensuring consistency, compliance and quality across engineering activities
• Providing guidance to support effective engineering decision-making

Who We're Looking For

️ Nuclear industry experience is essential

We're seeking an experienced engineering professional with a background in engineering management, governance and technical assurance rather than detailed design engineering.

️ Ability to translate technical and regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance

ð Knowledge of configuration management and change control

ð Comfortable acting as an intelligent customer and providing engineering oversight
