Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior Snowflake Developer & Administrator** with extensive hands-on experience in developing, administering, and optimizing enterprise-scale Snowflake data platforms. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in advanced Snowflake capabilities, strong administration skills, and experience integrating Snowflake with ETL tools such as **Talend**. Exposure to Snowflake AI capabilities is a distinct advantage. The role requires excellent client-facing communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Snowflake Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL solutions on Snowflake.
  • Develop complex SQL, Stored Procedures, UDFs, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and Snowpark applications.
  • Design dimensional models and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
  • Implement metadata-driven and reusable data ingestion frameworks.
  • Perform query optimization and warehouse tuning to improve performance and reduce costs.

Snowflake Administration

  • Administer Snowflake environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production.
  • Configure and manage Virtual Warehouses, RBAC, Security, Resource Monitors, Data Sharing, Replication, Time Travel, and Network Policies.
  • Monitor platform health, usage, security, and optimize compute/storage costs.
  • Support deployments, environment migrations, and production releases.

Talend & Data Integration

  • Develop and maintain **Talend ETL/ELT jobs** integrating diverse source systems with Snowflake.
  • Design reusable Talend frameworks and orchestrate end-to-end data pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Talend jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Experience integrating Talend with cloud storage (AWS S3/Azure BlobS), APIs, and databases.

Advanced Snowflake Expertise

Hands-on experience with:

  • Snowpark (Python preferred)
  • Dynamic Tables
  • Streams & Tasks
  • Snowpipe / Snowpipe Streaming
  • External Tables
  • Iceberg Tables
  • Search Optimization Service
  • Materialized Views
  • Zero Copy Cloning
  • Query Profile Analysis & Performance Tuning
  • Secure Data Sharing
  • Native Apps (preferred)

AI (Preferred)

Exposure to one or more of:

  • Snowflake Cortex AI
  • Cortex Analyst
  • Cortex Search
  • Snowpark ML
  • Document AI
  • AI/LLM integrations with Snowflake

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in **Snowflake Development and Administration**.
  • Advanced SQL programming and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience with **Talend ETL/ELT development** and data integration.
  • Good understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Vault, and Dimensional Modeling.
  • Experience with Python and automation scripting.
  • Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.

Soft Skills

  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to independently drive technical discussions, solution design, and implementation.
  • Strong ownership mindset and mentoring capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SnowPro Certification.
  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled data engineering solutions.
