Job Title
AI Governance and Assurance Adviser AI TEVV

Support the safe and responsible adoption of AI-enabled capabilities through AI governance, assurance and Test, Evaluation, Verification and Validation (TEVV). This role requires full-time onsite attendance in Symonston, ACT.

Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite

Contract Duration: 12 October 2026 to 30 June 2027, with possible 2 x 12-month extensions

Security Clearance Requirement: NV1

Closing Date: 10.00am, 24 September 2026

Essential Tasks
  • Develop and review AI governance and assurance artefacts, including AI Use Cases, System Cards and Model Cards.
  • Support AI TEVV activities by assessing AI-enabled systems, technical evidence, performance claims, limitations and risks.
  • Review AI policies, technical papers and proposals and provide evidence-based, risk-informed advice to senior decision-makers.
  • Coordinate with technical, operational, government, industry and academic stakeholders on AI assurance and evaluation activities.
Key Criteria
  • Minimum five years' experience developing, managing, assuring, testing, evaluating or governing AI, machine learning or advanced technology solutions.
  • Experience applying AI governance, assurance, risk management, security, privacy, ethics or related frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess AI and machine learning technical evidence, performance claims, assumptions and risks.
  • Relevant STEM qualification or equivalent professional experience, with strong technical analysis and stakeholder advisory capability.
