Lead Engineer (f/m/x) - Tanso Technologies GmbH

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to lead one of our engineering pods and take ownership of a core module of our platform. You will balance high-velocity development with the rigor required for enterprise-scale sustainability software.

Activities

• Take full technical ownership of the modules your pod is responsible for.
• Build and ship complex, high-impact features yourself.
• Partner closely with our product managers to challenge requirements and simplify solutions, maximizing the impact your pod generates for our customers.
• Mentor and lead the engineers in your pod by example, supporting their professional development.
• Contribute to and help shape company-wide technical standards that enable engineers to consistently deliver high-quality work.
• Make pragmatic technical and operational decisions, providing clear direction even in situations of uncertainty.

Requirements

• Strong builder mindset.
• Strong backend or infrastructure engineering experience, ideally in fast-moving B2B SaaS startups.
• At least 4-5 years of experience with web technologies using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Excellent English communication skills, with clear and structured communication.
• Ability to motivate, support and lead other engineers.

You will join a diverse, cross-functional team that prioritizes impact and mutual support. We work in engineering pods of 2-4 people, where we actively seek feedback and strive to be the best versions of ourselves.
