Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce's client is seeking an experienced Digital Product Manager to join their Product Management team supporting an open banking initiative in Birmingham, AL.

Summary

In this role, you will help shape digital products and capabilities that connect external financial data aggregators with the Company and make API-enabled services available to treasury customers. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, software development teams, and other Product Managers to drive product discovery, build business cases, and deliver new features and capabilities. This is a strong opportunity for a Product Manager with a financial services background and experience working on digital products who is comfortable operating across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.

What You'll Do

  • Lead product discovery and feature development initiatives from concept through execution
  • Partner with business stakeholders, development teams, and other cross-functional groups to define and prioritize product capabilities
  • Work with multiple technology teams when development work crosses team boundaries
  • Gather and manage input from a variety of stakeholders while keeping product initiatives moving forward
  • Build business cases and develop executive-level presentations to communicate product opportunities and recommendations
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers across digital channels while independently managing assigned product responsibilities
  • Support digital capabilities related to open banking, data aggregation, and API-enabled services
  • Learn and work within vendor platforms supporting the product ecosystem

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or 11+ years of relevant experience without a degree
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Strong experience in digital product management
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams, including software development/technology teams
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Working understanding of APIs and how they function
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the banking industry
  • Experience with open banking concepts, products, or capabilities
  • Experience working with APIs or technology platforms in a product management capacity beyond a basic understanding
  • Background working with digital products such as: Digital payments; Online or mobile banking; Investment applications; Similar consumer or business-facing financial technology products

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
