Role: Data & AI Product Owner

Duration: 12 Months
Location: London (2-3 days per week onsite)
Day Rate: 510 Inside IR35

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Product Owner to join a major enterprise data transformation programme focused on delivering innovative AI, analytics and data platform solutions.

This role will be responsible for defining product vision, strategy and roadmaps across a portfolio of Data & AI products, helping business stakeholders unlock value through Generative AI, intelligent automation and advanced analytics. You will act as the bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring AI-driven solutions align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The position is ideal for someone with a strong background in Product Management, Data & AI, Consulting or Digital Transformation, combined with experience working across modern cloud data platforms and AI ecosystems.

Role Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Data & AI products.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, prioritise and shape AI, GenAI, Analytics and Automation opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating business challenges into scalable, AI-driven solutions.
  • Lead product discovery activities, business case development and value realisation initiatives.
  • Drive prioritisation and delivery of AI use cases including Copilot, AI Agents, RAG, Knowledge Assistants and Intelligent Automation.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, AI Engineers, Architects and business teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage and refine the product backlog, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, adoption metrics and business value outcomes.
  • Support product releases and ensure successful stakeholder engagement and adoption.
  • Present product strategies, investment proposals and programme updates to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

Skills Required

  • Proven experience as a Data Product Owner, AI Product Owner, Product Manager or Data & AI Consultant.
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning and Data Analytics.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms and modern analytics environments.
  • Knowledge of Databricks, Data Lakehouse and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience delivering AI-driven products and solutions within large organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Experience owning product roadmaps, business cases and value realisation activities.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and product management practices.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot and Azure AI Foundry.
  • Knowledge of Databricks Mosaic AI and MLflow.
  • Experience delivering RAG, AI Agent and Knowledge Assistant solutions.
  • Background in Management Consulting or Digital Transformation.
  • Experience working across Data Engineering, AI Engineering and Analytics teams.
  • Exposure to intelligent automation and predictive analytics solutions.
  • Experience presenting to executive and C-level stakeholders.
  • Previous experience within large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
