Microsoft Fabric Certified Trainer & Developer - Austin location only

Role Summary
We are looking for a Lead Power BI & Fabric to drive our BI and analytics roadmap. This role combines hands-on Power BI development and administration with technical leadership on Microsoft Fabric and Azure, including planning a future migration from Azure to Fabric. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models; manage Power BI Admin functions (workspace governance, capacity management, security, gateways, licensing).
• Provide technical leadership on Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platforms; own architecture decisions across the BI/data engineering stack.
• Assess and articulate the roadmap, effort, and risks for migrating existing Azure workloads to Microsoft Fabric, and present migration proposals for approval.
• Design and build data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Lead a team of developers/engineers, mentoring them and ensuring quality and consistency of delivery.
• Partner extensively with business users to understand technical pain points, translate them into clear user stories, and own delivery through to post-development support.
• Support project estimation, milestone planning, and delivery tracking in coordination with project managers.

Required Skills

• Expert-level Power BI development skills (DAX, data modelling, Power Query) plus working knowledge of Power BI Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).
• Solid data engineering background pipeline design, data modelling, performance tuning.
• Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring a technical team.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging directly with business stakeholders.
• 8 10 years of relevant experience, including prior experience in a lead or senior technical role.
