Controls &amp; Commissioning Engineer - PLC / FAT / Commissioning £40 per hour | Outside IR35 | Contract Locations: Nottingham or Wymondham (Norwich)<br />Working Arrangement: Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week in the office<br />Travel:

UK, Turkey &amp; Vietnam as required We are currently recruiting for an experienced Controls &amp; Commissioning Engineer to support a major engineering organisation across a range of UK and international projects.

The role will focus on PLC/HMI software, FAT, Pre-FAT, iFAT, commissioning and controls troubleshooting, working closely with engineering, project, supplier and customer teams to ensure systems are fully tested and ready for project milestones.

Key Responsibilities PLC and HMI software testing, troubleshooting and verification<br />FAT, Pre-FAT, iFAT, SAT and commissioning activities<br />Cause &amp; Effect testing and verification<br />I/O checks, loop checks and functional testing<br />Controlled software updates and configuration management<br />Troubleshooting controls and instrumentation issues<br />Supporting suppliers and customers during testing and commissioning<br />Reviewing and updating electrical and control documentation<br />Supporting punch list and software issue resolution Essential Experience Strong hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience<br />Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC<br />FAT and commissioning experience<br />Experience with instrumentation and control systems<br />Ability to interpret P&amp;IDs, control schematics and Cause &amp; Effect diagrams<br />Experience working in safe area and/or ATEX environments<br />Understanding of functional safety and SIL principles<br />Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills<br />Willingness to travel internationally when required Desirable Siemens PCS7<br />Rockwell Studio 5000 / FactoryTalk<br />Experience within industrial, marine, oil &amp; gas or packaged equipment environments<br />Knowledge of IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 and LOPA
