The Role

• Operate heavy equipment including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Stack, move, and organize containers while ensuring accurate placement.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate logistical tasks.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for consideration.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
