Job description

Intermodal Equipment Operator | Shawnee, KS, United States | Hybrid

The Role

Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks.
Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational demands.
Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks.

What You'll Need

A valid driver's license is mandatory.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs on railcars.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
Basic communication skills for effective teamwork.
Open availability is a requirement for this role.
