We are working with a leading, global company who are looking to onboard a number of Platform Engineers and Senior Platform Engineers as part of a major expansion.

You'll join an experienced engineering team building, automating, improving and supporting enterprise platforms used across large-scale, business-critical environments. This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for engineers who enjoy building platforms, writing automation and troubleshooting complex production environments while helping other engineering teams deliver more effectively.

We're particularly interested in engineers who have experience owning shared platform capabilities used by multiple development or engineering teams, ideally within large-scale enterprise environments.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing, building and supporting AWS-based platforms
• Building, operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes/container platforms
• Developing reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Creating shared platform capabilities, developer self-service tooling and reusable engineering patterns
• Automating infrastructure and operational processes
• Improving observability, reliability, security and platform performance
• Troubleshooting complex issues across cloud, Kubernetes and Linux production environments
• Defining engineering standards and platform patterns adopted across multiple teams
• At senior levels, mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership while remaining hands-on

To be suitable, you'll need strong hands-on experience across most of:

• AWS
• Kubernetes / containerisation
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Linux
• CI/CD
• Git
• Automation / scripting
• Platform Engineering, DevOps or Production Engineering
• Supporting and troubleshooting production environments

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate what they have personally built or improved, the scale of the platforms they've supported and the impact their engineering has had.

Desirable but not essential:

Experience with GitOps, Helm, ArgoCD/Flux, Docker, Python/Bash, AWS multi-account environments, developer self-service/Internal Developer Platforms, observability (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), SRE or DevSecOps.
