Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)

Work Arrangement: Must be able to work from the NYC office 3 days per week

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly hands-on Semarchy xDM MDM Technical Lead to design, develop, and implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience with Semarchy xDM, excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills, and the ability to own MDM initiatives from solution design through implementation.

This is an individual contributor and technical leadership role requiring direct involvement in data modeling, data quality, mastering logic, solution architecture, and troubleshooting. The candidate should be comfortable working independently, guiding engineering teams, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver scalable MDM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end MDM solutions using Semarchy xDM.
• Analyze source data to identify data-quality issues, inconsistencies, duplication, and mastering challenges.
• Design and implement data models, matching and merging rules, survivorship logic, and data-quality controls.
• Configure and develop Semarchy xDM solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex MDM implementation issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Work closely with data engineers, architects, business stakeholders, and other technical teams.
• Lead technical discussions and guide onshore/offshore engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
• Take ownership of MDM initiatives with minimal supervision, ensuring solution quality and successful delivery.
• Establish best practices for data modeling, data quality, mastering, testing, and implementation.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Semarchy xDM and successful MDM solution implementations.
• Proven experience designing and implementing MDM solutions, not just administering or maintaining the platform.
• Strong understanding of master data modeling, data quality, matching, merging, survivorship, and data mastering concepts.
• Excellent SQL and data analysis skills, with the ability to investigate complex data issues.
• Experience translating business problems into practical technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work as an independent technical contributor and lead solution delivery.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with business and technical stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in New York City 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial Services, Asset Management, or Wealth Management industry experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating onshore/offshore engineering teams.
• Experience integrating Semarchy xDM with enterprise data platforms and source systems.
• Experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale MDM implementations.
