Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30 - Office based
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Southport
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager for a well-established client, who are a market leader within their sector with over 100 years of experience.
As a Purchasing Manager, you will provide a proactive and qualitive purchasing function of the organisation covering approximate £12 million spend per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager for a well-established client, who are a market leader within their sector with over 100 years of experience.
As a Purchasing Manager, you will provide a proactive and qualitive purchasing function of the organisation covering approximate £12 million spend per annum

- Work closely with the Operations Director and Senior Management Team in the development and implementation of the Purchasing strategy.
- Actively deliver for the business monthly / annual objectives
- Maintain a strong business relationship and successfully influence cost savings within the company
- Identify appropriate order levels, place orders and monitor accuracy of reordered inventory shipments received
- Lead, direct, motivate and manage appropriate purchasing team activities to satisfy the business needs
- Maintain accurate purchasing stock and records of costs
- Negotiate contracts for services
- Provide appropriate input to the new products development process
The successful Purchasing Manager will have the following skills/experience;
- CIPS Qualified
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- IT literate
- Ability to manage carious personal and team's priorities at the same time
- Ability to manager and deliver own workload
- Experience managing international suppliers would be an advantage
