Human Resources Coordinator (Part-Time)
Allendale Columbia School (AC) seeks a people-centered, organized part-time HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day human resources needs of our school community. This role plays an important part in fostering a positive, supportive employee experience that directly impacts our students and families. This is a part-time, non-exempt position of approximately 20 hours per week, reporting to the CFO.

Responsibilities
Coordinate employee onboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and serving as welcoming first point of contact for staff
Conduct exit interviews and share relevant feedback with leadership to support staff retention. Serve as a resource for staff navigating HR questions, benefits, and employee well-being initiatives. Provide administrative support for the recruitment process, including posting positions, organizing materials, and scheduling interviews; senior leadership handles reference calls and hiring decisions.

Complete annual FTE reporting to required state and federal agencies. Support school safety processes by coordinating required drills and evaluations, and maintain related records. Ensure HR practices, files, and policies remain compliant with New York State and federal employment law. Compensation & Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience, range is $40K-52K. Part-time benefits include TIAA/CREF retirement plan participation, lunch in the Dining Commons, professional development support, and partial tuition remission for qualified children.

Requirements

Qualifications
2+ years of experience in an HR or HR support role.
Working knowledge of NYS and federal employment laws.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a high degree of discretion.
Bachelor's degree preferred; HR certification a plus.
