Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced SCM Functional and Business Process Lead to drive supply chain business process discovery, future-state design, and SCM technology evaluation for a large-scale data center construction and power generation organization.

The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Receiving, Receipt Accounting, and Cost Management, combined with strong business process consulting and solution advisory capabilities.

The candidate must have cross-platform SCM product expertise, including Oracle SCM Cloud and other leading SCM solutions, with the ability to independently evaluate and recommend the most suitable technology aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Process Discovery & Future-State Design

• Lead workshops with supply chain, procurement, warehouse, finance, construction, and project controls stakeholders.

• Assess and document current-state business processes, application landscape, data flows, operational challenges, and integration dependencies.

• Design optimized future-state processes covering:

• Inventory Management and Inventory Master Data

• Material Receiving and Receipt Accounting

• Inventory Costing and Cost Management

• Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes

• Project/Site Inventory and Material Tracking

• Address construction-specific requirements, including long-lead equipment, contractor material receipts, project cost allocation, material traceability, and commissioning handover.

• Develop detailed business requirements, process maps, fit-gap assessments, and improvement recommendations.

2. SCM Product Evaluation & Solution Advisory

• Lead an objective evaluation of Oracle SCM Cloud and other leading SCM/inventory management platforms.

• Establish product evaluation criteria covering functional fit, construction industry requirements, integration capabilities, scalability, security, implementation complexity, and total cost of ownership.

• Facilitate vendor demonstrations, product assessments, and business use-case evaluations.

• Identify configuration versus customization requirements, implementation dependencies, and potential risks.

• Recommend the most appropriate SCM solution with supporting business and technical justification.

3. Solution Architecture & Implementation Roadmap

• Define high-level integration requirements with existing Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, procurement, finance, and project management applications.

• Identify master data management, data migration, reporting, and governance requirements.

• Develop a phased SCM implementation roadmap, including key milestones, dependencies, resource considerations, and indicative cost drivers.

• Present findings and recommendations to business and IT leadership.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in SCM functional consulting, business process transformation, ERP implementations, and solution advisory.

• Strong functional expertise in Inventory Management, Receiving, Receipt Accounting, Cost Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing.

• Hands-on functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud, with demonstrated exposure to alternative SCM/ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Infor, IFS, or equivalent solutions.

• Proven experience conducting business process discovery workshops, developing as-is/to-be process documentation, and performing fit-gap analysis.

• Experience evaluating enterprise SCM products and preparing structured solution recommendations.

• Strong understanding of SCM integration with ERP Finance, Procurement, Project Management, and Cost Accounting.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, analytical, and executive presentation skills.

• Ability to independently lead the engagement and provide unbiased, business-driven technology recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale construction, engineering, EPC, infrastructure, data centers, power generation, or capital-intensive industries.

• Knowledge of project-based inventory, construction material management, equipment tracking, and project cost allocation.

• Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP and Primavera-based project management environments.

• Prior experience in SCM product selection, technology advisory, or ERP transformation consulting engagements.

1) A Senior SCM functional consultant and solution architect/advisor who combines strong supply chain domain expertise, hands-on ERP/SCM product knowledge, construction industry understanding, and excellent business consulting skills.

2) The candidate should be capable of independently leading discovery workshops, challenging existing processes, objectively evaluating multiple SCM technologies, and presenting a compelling solution recommendation to executive leadership.

3)The most important differentiator is the ability to objectively evaluate Oracle SCM against alternative platforms while understanding the unique material management and project costing requirements of Client's data center construction and power generation operations.
