  • Ensure inspection tools and equipment are available, calibrated, and in working condition.
  • Provide general site support as directed by senior technicians and the Site Readiness Manager.

Receiving & Installation Verification

  • Support incoming inspections of BESS containers, battery racks/modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, telecom cabinets, and auxiliary systems, checking for shipping damage and verifying against packing lists and submittals.
  • Perform basic installation checks including cable terminations, labeling, grounding, conduit, and enclosure condition under the direction of senior technicians.
  • Assist senior technicians in executing inspection checklists and pre-energization walkdowns.

Documentation & Development

  • Capture photographic evidence and record inspection findings accurately in the project platform (Overmap, CxAlloy, or equivalent).
  • Document and report field issues to senior technicians and the Site Readiness Manager.
  • Follow instructions from senior technicians while building the skills to grow into a more senior technician role.

Required Qualifications

  • Entry-level knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Technical certificate, apprenticeship, or hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or construction trades.
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.
  • Willing and able to travel up to ~80% to project sites nationwide.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to battery energy storage, solar, data center, or other utility-scale power or construction environments.
  • Safety certifications (OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, First Aid, CPR, AED).
  • Familiarity with basic inspection and diagnostic tools (digital multimeters, clamp meters, torque tools).

Soft Skills

  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn from senior team members.
  • Reliable, safety-first mindset.
  • Attention to detail and good documentation habits.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced construction environments.
