Job Description

Role: Deskside/Desktop Support
Location: Cambridge, MA – Onsite
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Rate: $25/hr. W2 / $27/hr C2C

Required Skills & Responsibilities
  • Provide second-line desktop and deskside support for end users, including Sales and VIP users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, desktop, and peripheral-related incidents within defined SLAs.
  • Perform PC staging, imaging, provisioning, workstation setup, and device configuration.
  • Handle IMAC activities including installation, moves, additions, and changes for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, desk phones, and meeting-room equipment.
  • Perform hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, OS migration, and onsite administrative tasks.
  • Provide onsite hands-and-feet support for Server and Network teams, including basic troubleshooting, power checks, visual inspections, and equipment support.
  • Maintain and manage hardware/software inventory, asset records, spare parts, AMDB, room layouts, and equipment lists.
  • Coordinate hardware break/fix activities with vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Manage hardware logistics, transfers, decommissioning, surplus equipment, and asset disposal.
  • Support onsite installation and configuration of cabling, hardware, server-room equipment, and network devices.
  • Participate in client change requests and onsite technology implementations, ranging from simple to complex activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third parties to resolve incidents and complete service requests within SLA.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, access lists, and logbooks.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures and knowledge-management processes.
  • Provide end-user training and demonstrations when required.
  • Maintain accurate records for server-room and network hardware, including inventories, layouts, access information, and asset status.
  • Support server-room hardware decommissioning, disposal, and transfer activities.
