The Role
We are looking for a friendly and organised Head Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will set the tone for their arrival and help ensure a smooth operation at the restaurant. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
What You’ll Do
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they enter.
- Manage and coordinate reservations efficiently, optimizing table turnover and guest experience.
- Answer phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing reports and managing guest feedback.
- Collaborate closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role (approx. 1-2 years).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage reservations effectively.
- Proficient in using modern POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- The legal right to work in the UK and flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
- Competitive Pay & Earning Potential
- £16.50 – £17.50 per hour typical take-home pay, including a discretionary share of the service charge (tronc).
- £36,000 – £40,000 indicative annual earnings (based on a 45-hour week).
- Hours & rota: full‑time, 5 days over 7 including evenings and weekends; rotas shared in advance.
- Holiday: 29 days per year including public holidays (pro rata).
