Job Description
About Us
Our mission at Renterra is to modernize the $100B+ equipment rental industry. Tactically, we are building an end-to-end platform that will massively improve the way rental companies run their businesses.
Renterra is a Series A–backed, venture-funded software company serving hundreds of rental businesses across the U.S. and Canada. As we scale, marketing is how we convert the strongest brand momentum in the category into pipeline, and this is our first dedicated marketing hire.
Job Description As Growth Marketing Manager at Renterra, you will report to the CEO and partner closely with our Chief of Staff to scale a young marketing function. The foundation exists: live paid campaigns, attribution measurement, an early content engine, and a positioning strategy. You will own these programs, mature them into repeatable systems, and build what's still missing. Your first mandate is demand generation: converting the strongest brand momentum in the category into qualified inbound pipeline. We are looking for a business-first thinker with channel-operator hands: you find the constraint before you pick the channel, and you build the fix yourself. The role also spans content, brand, and performance measurement. This is a Chicago-based, hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities Demand Generation & Paid Own demand generation across paid and organic; your mandate is qualified pipeline, not traffic Own paid acquisition end to end: strategy, build, optimization, budget allocation, and the landing pages campaigns convert on Own SEO/GEO: keyword strategy, on-page optimization, and content that ranks in search and gets cited in AI answers Run structured experiments across channels, creative, and messaging as the brand matures Content & Brand Own content end to end, from calendar to creation to publishing, across our blog, social channels (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), email, and website Build an asset library spanning industry education, thought leadership, trade shows, sales support, and customer evidence Help shape and enforce brand positioning, tone, and voice across every customer touchpoint Contract out to and direct creatives (video editors, designers) where needed to extend output Performance & Measurement (built jointly with our Chief of Staff) Turn marketing data into decisions: what's working, what isn't, and where the next dollar goes Build the reporting and decision-making layer on top of our existing full-funnel data capture Bring fluency across marketing metrics, from channel efficiency to pipeline impact, and the judgment to know which ones matter at our stage Build the feedback loop with sales: shared lead definitions, lead quality reviews by channel, and closed-lost analysis that feeds targeting and messaging
Qualifications You have 4–7 years of marketing experience, ideally at an early- to mid-stage high-growth B2B SaaS company You have built lead and demand generation programs that produced measurable pipeline, and you can walk us through the numbers You have personally run paid acquisition on Google Ads and Meta, with the judgment to decide what to run in-house, outsource, or automate as spend grows You have meaningfully contributed to at least two of: SEO/content, lifecycle and email marketing, website optimization, customer marketing You are comfortable pulling and interpreting your own data and can connect channel performance to pipeline You are a strong writer who can adapt across formats and audiences, and you have a point of view on brand voice You have an experimentation mindset: you embrace AI tools to create leverage, and you scrutinize the output to hold a high quality bar You are based in the Chicago area and able to work from the office in a hybrid capacity
What We Offer Competitive salary and equity Health, dental, and vision insurance Flexible PTO policy A supportive, customer-first team culture Direct ownership over outcomes from day one Opportunities for growth as the team scales
Closing This is an opportunity to scale the marketing function at a category-defining company, with a clear path to marketing leadership as Renterra grows. If you enjoy taking programs from early to excellent, running the numbers yourself, and shipping fast, we'd love to hear from you. Renterra is an equal opportunity employer.
