IT Security Compliance Analyst
Healthcare IT Leaders | 100% Remote | Contract Opportunity
Contract Duration: October 26, 2026 - April 30, 2027 (27 weeks)
Position Overview
Healthcare IT Leaders is seeking an experienced IT Security Compliance Analyst to support information security, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and security control initiatives for a healthcare organization. This consultant will help strengthen security policies and procedures, support internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable security controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate organizational risk.
  • Conduct security audits using industry-standard methodologies to evaluate and strengthen internal controls and compliance practices.
  • Assist in developing and delivering organization-wide information security training and awareness programs.
  • Implement security procedures to address regulatory compliance requirements and support annual risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  • Support internal and external security audits by gathering evidence, leveraging internal tools and infrastructure, and validating the effectiveness of security controls.
  • Ensure information security program standards align with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between security compliance teams and technical subject matter experts to support compliance initiatives and resolve control-related issues.
Qualifications
  • Experience in IT security, information security compliance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of security controls, policies, procedures, and industry-standard audit methodologies.
  • Experience supporting security audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with information security training and awareness programs.
  • Ability to gather audit evidence, evaluate control effectiveness, and collaborate with technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of applicable state and federal information security and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Healthcare Experience is important for HITRUST & HIPPA knowledge
