YSI is seeking an Senior Cloud / DevSecOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• The Senior Cloud Engineer shall augment Client s current cloud engineering and operations staff to provide systems engineering and administration support for Department of the Air Force applications hosted within the CloudOne (AWS GovCloud) environment.
• This support encompasses support of cloud infrastructure, including the provisioning, configuration, and sustainment of Compute (EC2), Storage (S3/EBS), and Database (RDS) services.
• The Senior Cloud Engineer shall assist with performing continuous security hardening (STIG ing) of all operating systems, databases, and services, ensuring compliance with DoW Impact Levels 4/5/6 (IL5/IL6) requirements.
• Furthermore, the Senior Cloud Engineer shall manage the deployment and maintenance of applications, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps pipelines and knowledge of Kubernetes where applicable, while maintaining up-to-date system documentation and architecture diagrams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of specialized experience in cloud administration within Federal/Department of War (DoW) environments, with specific expertise in GovCloud offerings (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and/or VMware vSphere).
• Demonstrated proficiency in the following technical areas: Managing core AWS services: EC2 (Compute), S3 (Object Storage), VPC (Networking), RDS (Relational Database), and IAM (Identity & Access Management). Configuring Security Groups and NACLs to implement Zero Trust architectures. Familiarity with CloudOne shared services, boundary protections, and ingress/egress patterns.
• Applying DISA STIGs to Windows Server and RHEL/Linux distributions using Group Policy or automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Utilizing SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) and analyzing results to remediate findings. Knowledge of FIPS 140-2 encryption standards for data at rest and in transit.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and scripting.

Certifications:

• Mandatory DoW 8140 Certification: Must possess a CompTIA Security+ CE or a higher-level certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP).
• Personnel must possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Hyland OnBase System Administrator, specifically demonstrating the ability to design and maintain workflows, forms, and custom logic.
