Job Description

Information Security (INFOSEC) Program Support: Review proposed publications for public release, enforcing all relevant security policies. Assist in the INFOSEC education program, provide guidance on proper classification marking (Classified and CUI), support the development of Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and monitor Original Classification Authority (OCA) annual training requirements.

Industrial Security Support: Develop and maintain liaison with the ONR contract office and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to assist in managing the Industrial Security Program. Review DD Form 254, Contract Security Classification Specifications, and provide guidance to CORs and Program Managers on their preparation.

Foreign Disclosure Support: Perform Foreign Disclosure Representative (FDR) duties for ONR. This includes coordinating with the ONR Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) on Foreign Visit Requests (FVRs), making recommendations on the release of information to foreign government representatives, and conducting initial and annual refresher foreign disclosure training.

Security Liaison & Advisory Support: Advise senior leadership on regulations governing the access, dissemination, and safeguarding of classified and CUI information. Coordinate with subject matter experts to assess information sensitivity and risk and assist in the prevention and reporting of security violations.

Information Security Specialist (INFOSEC) Personnel Requirements
At a minimum, this position requires:
An associate's degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year of relevant experience as a security specialist or a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and three (3) years of relevant experience as a security specialist;
Functional knowledge of Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or other automated database system; and
Functional knowledge of Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS).

Security Clearance: SECRET (Current or ability to obtain prior to award)
