Senior Java Developer
Location: Oakland, CA / Rancho Cordova, CA or Alpharetta, GA ( In--person Interview required )

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot Microservices, and database development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. Experience with Azure Cloud technologies is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
·                Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using Core Java and Spring Boot Microservices.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, and QA teams.
  • Follow Agile development methodologies and engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to CI/CD implementation and application modernization initiatives.
Required Experience
·                7+ years of experience in Java application development.
  • Strong expertise in designing and developing enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies.
  • Proven experience building cloud-ready, distributed systems and microservices.
 
Required Technical Skills
Core Java
·                Strong understanding of Java fundamentals, OOP concepts, Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, Exception Handling, JVM, and Performance Tuning.
  • Experience with Java 8+ features including Streams, Lambda Expressions, and Functional Programming.
Spring Ecosystem
·                Hands-on expertise with:
o        Spring Boot
    • Spring MVC
    • Spring Data JPA/Hibernate
    • Spring Security
    • Spring Cloud
Microservices
·                Design and development of Microservices-based architectures.
  • REST API design and implementation.
  • Service communication patterns, resiliency, fault tolerance, and distributed system concepts.
Databases
·                Strong experience with relational databases such as:
o        Oracle
    • SQL Server
  • Expertise in SQL, schema design, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
DevOps & Tools
·                Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
Preferred Skills
·                Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus.
  • Exposure to API Gateway and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and OAuth/JWT authentication.

  1. Can you describe your experience working with Core Java and the Spring Framework? Specifically, what types of applications have you built using Spring (e.g., MVC, Security, Data), and what design patterns or principles do you commonly apply?
  2. Have you developed RESTful APIs using Spring Boot? Please share an example of a microservice you've built what was its purpose, how did you handle request/response mapping, and how did you test it?
  3. Do you have experience deploying or managing applications in Microsoft Azure? If so, which Azure services have you used (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Kubernetes Service), and how did they support your application architecture?
