Data Engineer - I

Job Summary We are seeking a Data Visualization Specialist to analyze and investigate data, develop dashboards and reports, and support data-driven business decisions. The role will focus on Tableau-based data visualization, data quality, web development, and collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver accurate and effective data solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities Participate in the design, development, and validation of emerging and ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, and other data products using Tableau as the primary data visualization tool. Design and develop intuitive dashboards and data visualization products using Tableau and other business intelligence tools. Learn and utilize new data visualization tools such as Looker and Einstein Analytics to analyze results, evaluate performance, and project future trends and needs. Champion data visualization processes and procedures across the organization.

Translate business requirements into technical requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs. Explore, extract, cleanse, and combine data from multiple sources and systems. Continuously improve data quality by developing monitoring tools and issue alerts. Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, design, and execute end-to-end solutions. Investigate new technologies and approaches to improve data pipelines and visualization capabilities. Lead dashboard demonstration sessions, develop training materials, and produce dashboard documentation.

Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional work experience. Extensive experience building visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate insights and tell a story through data. Experience working with UI technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, or similar reporting and business intelligence tools. Knowledge of information design principles and data visualization methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude.

Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Demonstrated experience developing data visualization products and supporting data quality initiatives. Portfolio demonstrating previous data visualization work and projects.
