What you'll do
As an Apprentice Recruitment Assistant, you'll be a key part of our friendly and supportive People Services team, helping to deliver a professional, efficient and compliant recruitment service across the College.
Working closely with the whole People Services team, hiring managers and candidates, you'll support the full recruitment lifecycle, helping to attract, recruit and onboard new colleagues. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience while developing your knowledge of recruitment, HR administration and safer recruitment practices.
Youll also work towards your Level 3 HR CIPD qualification, with one dedicated study day per week. Following successful completion of the qualification, you will progress to a Recruitment Assistant role on Band 4 25,256 to 26,348 per annum.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Supporting recruitment campaigns by posting vacancies and responding to candidate enquiries.
- Providing first-line support to candidates and answering recruitment-related queries.
- Completing pre-employment checks, including references, DBS disclosures and right to work documentation.
- Preparing offer letters, contracts and onboarding paperwork for new starters.
- Maintaining accurate recruitment records and supporting a smooth onboarding experience for candidates and managers.

No prior HR experience is needed; however, previous administration experience is desirable.
